The Peninsula Institute for Community Health (PICH) will be opening a clinic in Virginia Beach "after the first of the year". It will be in the former Oceana Urgent Care building on General Booth Boulevard.
PICH offers medical and dental services primarily to low-income people. Based in Newport News, they already have satellite offices in Mathews County and Suffolk. There is a three-tier fee scale, with payment dependent on income.
While medical only will be provided in Virginia Beach at first, the PICH administrator I spoke to this afternoon left the door open that they may add dental at the Beach later.
