The July meeting of Virginia Beach's Resort Advisory Commission (RAC) has been postponed. As normal, it had been scheduled for the 1st Thursday (July 3) at 3 P.M. at the convention center.
What's annoying is that this was so predictable; in fact, I predicted it in speaking to a CCO Director last week.:
1. The RAC normally meets on the 1st Thursday at 3 P.M.
2. That regularly brings it up against the Fourth of July holiday.
3. Some Resort businesspeople will object to meeting then.
The RAC needs a standing policy for dealing with the July meeting. Since the 2008 meeting schedule has been out for months, someone shouldn't have just discovered it this week.
