In the latest of the merry-go-round at Pembroke Mall, the China Garden restaurant has closed. It was the Chinese restaurant at the very front of the mall with a buffet.
Sometimes you need a scorecard to know who's at the mall, who's not, and where they are.

hmm. China Garden here, something Wok in the food court right around the corner.
maybe they didn't need 2 Chinese places in the mall right next to each other. Maybe people didn't know that China Garden was there.
The best we can hope for is that something cool comes in its place. Still wondering what will replace the BBQ joint in the food court.
Pembroke Mall is in an excellent location, and has undergone renovations, but I'm not sure why it isn't coming back stronger. Maybe we just simply have too many malls around here anyway.
