This In 2009?!?

In Louisiana a Justice of the Peace is refusing to issue marriage licenses for interracial couples. His excuse is that he claims interracial marriages don't last long. http://www.kansascity.com/437/story/1510399.html

As the ACLU lawyer in the story notes, the Supreme Court struck down prohibitions on marriage based on race 46 years ago. That a local official in Louisiana thinks he can do it on his own is astounding!

They don't allow gays or lesbians to marry there either so way are you so surprised?

What's the difference?

Anon 10:06,

Interracial couples:

1. Are a marriage between one man and one woman.

2. Can have children of their own.

Gays and lesbians can do neither.

You sir appear to be biased.

When Our Lord and Savior invited all to His Table, He meant ALL.

I once read a bumper sticker: "If you don't like Gay Marriage, don't have one!"

Anon 3:08,

I'm certainly "biased" in favor of society having a strong moral foundation at it's base. History teaches that great societies are usually destroyed by rot from within, not external threats.

By your "logic", 100% of the population would go to heavan. After all, casting people into the fires of Hell would be exclusionary. As for your attempt to pull Jesus' Deeds out of context, a number of times The Bible very specifically condemns homosexuality.

May GLBT miscreants burn to a crisp in Hell.

Anon 10:34,

Don't worry about me. You're the one who needs to figure out how to take a flame-retardant suit into the next life with you.

I'm the one that needs figuring out?

I'm the one trying to promote tolerance and you're the one spreading gender-orientation hate.

No response I see.

Go figure.

Oh, I'm suppose to chase every perverted troll who shows up on my blog? It's telling that GLBT miscreants try to attach their agenda to everything else imaginable: interracial marraige (here), civil rights, human rights, etc. "Gay rights" (an oxymoron) can't stand alone on their own, especially here in Virginia.

Just ask all those voters who approved the marraige amendment.
