Reid Greenmun And The VBTA Have No Credibility

Okay, most of us already knew that. However, on December 17 Virginia Beach Taxpayers Alliance (VBTA) Transportation Chairman Reid Greenmun went before the MPO and claimed the VBTA endorsed studying a EVMS to Norfolk NOB via ODU light rail extension. Speaking with others afterwards at the meeting, no one believed Reid's "endorsement". I thought he did it simply so he could try to leverage it to kill the Newtown Road to Dome site extension.

Two-thirds of you who voted agreed: the VBTA's "support" was a ruse. After all, the VBTA wants to abolish Hampton Roads Transit (HRT) as an agency.

Fun over on the blog Bearing Drift: chief poster J.R. Hoeft wrote under 2009 Predictions, "Reid finally admits he actually is a Democrat." J.R.'s point: Reid does far more damage to the side he claims to champion than he ever does to help it.

Of course, Reid Greenmun is best known as the cofounder of Messnerism-Greenmunism, that extremist ideology from the Loony Side. More on Reid's enduring ties to Barbara Messner in an April 1 post.

The new poll question: how do you think the new Virginia Beach City Council will do? Better, worse, or the same?

Henry, still spreading lies I see - we all see.

It is YOU, Henry, that has no credibility.

It is a lie to claim that the VBTA did not go before the MPO and support a study of a Light Rail line extending the Norfolk Tide to the Nofolk naval bases. It is a lie to claim I was not being truthful.

The opinions of a small group of transit advocates is meaningless in regard to the honesty of the stated position. This is bcause they are simply - wrong.

Avenging Archangel said...

The issue here is credibility. The VBTA has long been stuck in negative mode, especially on mass transit.

Whatever your intentions at the MPO, no one believes you.

Anonymous said...

Henry, more lies - just keep digging that hole you are in - the really laughable aspect of your lies is the loss of credibility YOU end up with!

Anonymous said...

Reid, hard as it is to believe for you, Henry has a LOT more credibility than the VBTA.

One only needs to watch Dean and Moss froth at the mouth and scream and yell and insult elected officials.

Henry on the other hand supports the truly needy and works within the system for change. For example, have you actually read his blog posts where he has helped HRT refine service?

In terms of personal credibility, I don't know you other than seeing you speak on TV during VB City Council meetings. I do recall that you had grand ideas for fixing the budget but never brought them forward.

Anonymous said...

Dear "anonymous: (why not use your name?);

Thank you for at least admitting that you don't know me. I apreciate such candor.

Henry loses any credibility he might have acquired when he continues to spread lies and intentionally attempt to mislead others.

My work in serving the community is honest and factually based.

If you recall the city council meeting you refer to I clearly explained that it is the responsibility of City Council to direct the City Manager to develop a budget that supports zero sum increases, not a private citizen that has a very busy work schedule.

Furhter, I did uncover over $100M in opportunites for collecting taxes that the city elected not to collect as well as savings I did propose. What I did not do was take Rosemary Wilsons offer of spending a considerable amount of my time to work with staff to try to rewrite the entire budget.

Frankly, that is the job that City Council - including Rosemary Wilson are supposed to be doing - yet they have failed to accomplsih it.

The VBTA bases our views on research and facts.

Henry advocates his position by attacking others on the basic od slander and deception.

Henry twists selecxted "facts" and states his opinions as if they were "facts" instead of spin. He is not trustworthy in this regard.

Henry might have fooled you - whoever you are - but his lies deserve have resulted in his lack of credibility.

The VBTA is a orgaization of citizens that work to uncover the truth.

Henry is a person that often does his best to hide thwe truth - to advance is agenda.

hey henry, so how much money did you donate to John McCain?

We are still waiting for you to answer that simple question. I mean you had no trouble informing everyone here on your blog that you donated to Barack Obama - and yet you claim you are a Republican.

Sure makes one ponder your credibility.

I think Henry and Avenging Archangel have gone way too far

I'm understanding you Reid and feel sorry for you

Anonymous said...

Henry and/or AA (however this works): you are a Republican yet you donated money to Obama?

And why do you and Reid continue to throw mud at each other? The "VBTA Song" was way over the line

Anonymous said...

Thank you Jason. I appreciate your comments.

No problem Reid

Avenging Archangel said...

As I explained twice before (and Reid chose to ignore), I gave money to Obama during the primaries. It was when the Democratic nomination was still in doubt, and I wanted to destroy the monster Hitlery.

Anon 4:16,

Thank you; it's a lesson the VBTA could learn from.

You can work within the system and try to get incrementel change, or throw rocks from the outside.

I haven't won every fight at HRT, but I've won enough to know things are getting better.

Anonymous said...

Henry, you have such a long history of throwing rocks. Who do you think you are fooling with your hypocrisy?

And as you know, I have a long history of working within "the system" as well as working within our grassroots community to effect positive change.

Once again you seek to deceive people. Do you have a problem telling the truth? Have you sought professional help in dealing with your compulsion to lie and attack those that you feel stand in the way of your agenda?

Avenging Archangel said...

The VBTA work within the system? Kind of hard when you make no secret that you want to dump 10 of 11 Councilpersons.

How many local, regional, and state boards, commissions, or committees have you been appointed to since 2003? How many other VBTAers have received appointments during that period?

Unknown said...

Reid does a lot, Henry. He works every day to pay taxes so you can have a bus ride.

He also has his fingerprints all over a transportation plan that passed the House of Delegates last year, and is being resubmitted this year with a lot of support.

I throw more than my share of political rocks, but Henry - since I've known you, you've been the king of it.

You posted that a Council member was endorsed by Satan!!!

Reid's rhetoric has never reached your level. You used to talk about your political strategy in war terms. Carpet bombing, I think you called it.

Fine if you want to Mitt Romney yourself. We all grow and evolve.

But you waving the flag of conciliation and compromise? Puhleese!

Anonymous said...

I'm starting to think that you Henry are getting far out of line. Reid, I doubt you'll accept this, but I do apologize for the childish and inappropriate remarks I've made

Anonymous said...

Jessica, thank you and I do accept your gracious apology. I am tryingmy best to be a follower of Jesus Christ and His example was one of forgiveness and love.

However, He also teaches us to repent if we wish forgiveness.

To all, we have a lot of transportation needs. I work with many folks and I focus on transportation. I develop my own solutions and I work within the system to try to advance them. It is a long (years) process. But like Henry, I am doing what I can to make our government better.

The irony in all these recent vile attacks from Henry was that they came immediately following my remarks before the MPO in support of funding a study of the cost benefit analysis of extending the Norfolk Tide Light Rail line to connect to the naval bases.

Here the VBTA, Henry, and many of you that frequent this blog are all on the same side on an issue.

Instead of this being a place whereby we have found common ground and an opportunity to work together to advance the efforts for expanding Light Rail Henry decided to ATTACK ME AND THE VBTA even more!

That really doesn't make a whole lot of sense.

But, it is what it is.

Anyway, thank you for the nice apology. I appreciate it.

Anonymous said...

Brian, thank you as well. I appreciate your taking the time to point out some of the rest of the story when it comes to my civic efforts.

To all, Brian and I have been working within the system to try to find solutions to our region's transportation needs for many, many years. Much of that effort is accomplished out of sight and in private emails, phone calls, and lunches with members of the General Assembly, the Governor, the courts, the HRPDC, the HRMPO, the FTA, the FHWA, APTA, ITS Virginia, ITS America, media (to include VBDEMs), and even members of the local business lobbies that I feel have motives that are not in the best interest of the citizens living in our region.

It is a process. And it is sllllooooowwww. But progress is made.

The VBTA and I have not been "only negative". We develop an alternate solution and we have worked to promote that solution. As Brian pointed out. Some of those VBTA ideas are well on their way to becoming law.

This is all true - and it serves to highlight WHY Henry's lies and slander are unjustified and untrue.

Henry has a grudge and it appears to have blinded him and caused him to abandon any objectivity or sense of balance in his assault on the myself and the members of the VBTA.

Anon 4:00,

The ship may be under fire, but it is hardly sinking.

It may not be politically correct to point out that there is tangible evil in this world, but I will. If Reid and the VBTA don't like that hard truth, I could care less.

Unknown said...

tangible evil?

Henry, you take this stuff WAY too seriously.

Anonymous said...

Henry, my ojections with your slanderious attacks haven't been shared here because the VBTA and I don't like the "hard truth", it has been because we don't like your easy lies.

Jesus set an example for each of his followers. You and I try to be followers of Jesus. You have shared that fact here on your blog. Given this, we are to admit our sins, repent, and then we can seek forgiveness. Other Christains are to honor that request for forgiveness under such conditions.

Christ open doors for healing.

Myself and others have opened a door for you here.

You can chose to walk through it, or not.

God blessed you with free will.

I hope you will make the best decision under these circumstances.

My sincere thanks go out to each of you that might well have helped end this over the top attack on myself and others than happen to have joined the VBTA with the hope of working to improve our government and community.

Geez, this crap is getting old. It seems no matter what blog I go to, there is Henry spouting off about Messner and VBTA. Give it a rest already. No one even knows who Barb Messner was, it's been ten years. So why bother to even bring up her name?

Then there is Reid and VBTA. Henry, you were attending CACI meetings and sitting right next to Robert Dean when the LRT referendum was being petitioned. It was no secret what the referendum was for and Messner wasn't even involved. Her passion was the 31st Street Park. I know because I was at those meetings. So get off your horse shit superiority that you are somehow God's savior of mass transit. That transition didn't occur until you started hanging around your high roller buddies down at the oceanfront RAC. You are only fooling those that don't know your history.

Avenging Archangel said...

Policy decisions affect people's lives, so I wouldn't take them lightly.

I refer you to my remarks to City Council on November 9, 1999. It was the day Council pulled out of LRT. My comments were on how to move forward with mass transit from there.

I had been a bus rider for an earlier period (July, 1995 - November, 1996), plus a plethora of my fellow disabled ride. I've always known the need. It's been recent events that got me on the LRT train.

Henry, we are still waiting for you to answer the question you keep avoiding:

You stated here on your blog that donated to Barack Obama (for whatever reason).

Question: Did you donate more money to John McCain then you donated to Barack Obama?

If not, isn't it fair to state that your behavior reveals that you gave more financial support to the Democratic Party candidate for President in the last election then you did for the Republican Party candidate, John McCain?

The "it was in the primaries" dodge you keep trying to use is irrelevent to my question.

Your answer - or perhaps your failure to answer - pertains to your own honesty and thus your credibility.

This topic you posted is about "credibility".

Henry, you also state that you are a Christian. The beam in your eye may need to be removed before you concern yourself with the speck in the eyes of others.

Matthew 7:3

"Why do you see the speck in your brother's eye but fail to notice the beam in your own eye?"

Romans 2:1:

"Therefore you have no excuse, everyone of you who passes judgment, for in that which you judge another, you condemn yourself; for you who judge practice the same things."

Avenging Archangel said...

First, I've answered about the Obama donation three times. If you don't like the answer, that's your problem.

Second, if you couldn't see what an evil Hitlery was and the need to destory her ASAP, that speaks volumes about you.

Finally, I'm not going to take lectures on Christianity from a Methodist. Methodistism has as much to do with Christianity as Mike Barrett has to do with fiscal conservatism.

Henry, practice what you preach.

"Stuck in negative mode"? You sound more and more like a VPTAer every day!

Anonymous said...

Henry, you aren't going to adhere to scripture from the Bible? Wow. Maybe you really need to rethink your behavior in this regard?

Your bashing the nearly 8 million members of the United Methodist Church (UMC) and your fellow Christians now?

How is that "Big tent" you Republicans are trying to build?

You seem to want to keep shrinking it.

What did Jesus say?

Romans 2:1:

"Therefore you have no excuse, everyone of you who passes judgment, for in that which you judge another, you condemn yourself; for you who judge practice the same things."

Henry, what part of Jesus' teachings DO you agree with when you make harsh and unChrist-like judgments such as this next attack on the fine people of the UMC?

"Methodistism has as much to do with Christianity as Mike Barrett has to do with fiscal conservatism."

And you have the nerve to pass judgment on MY credibility?

Anonymous said...

Henry that is TOO FAR

How dare you insult a Christian Denomination!?

Anonymous said...

The Bible teaches us that Pharisees acted in such a manner and God sent His Son here in the flesh to set the Pharisees straight and to help them to better understand that through Christ God graciiously offers to us a gift of salvation.

Jesus also teaches us to treat everyone with love and to avoid being judgmental and avoid to condemning others.

Jesus taught us all to lift up one another, not to tear others down.

Jesus teaches us a lot of things.

Henry shares his view that any Christian that doesn't ascribe to his specific form of Catholicism is to be judges as a "heretic" and Henry feels justified to attack them and denigrate their faith.

This topic calls into question my credibility. Okay, if you don’t believe me about Henry’s history of condemning all Protestants as “heretics”, just ask him. If he is honest, he will admit this.

Michael Ragsdale said...

Enough is enough Henry

I take offense to that last comment and condem it

I am requesting your public apology for that last comment. Throughout all these posts it was you using nasty remarks, not Reid

I would think there isn't much difference in two "catholic" religions since they both subscribe to both the Apostle and Nicene creeds.

Avenging Archangel said...

Did I strike a nerve or what? :)

I'm tired of Reid acting like a six year old child whenever I criticize the VBTA or him, so I set the bait with the last paragraph of my previous post. I even used the Barrett analogy knowing what Reid thinks of Mike. Reid took it hook, line, and sinker.

The Roman Catholic Church has never recognized any of the Protestant sects as legitimate. The only other Christian denomination the word "church" is to be used in describing is the Orthodox Church. While I said it in an "in your face" manner, it was theologically correct from a Catholic perspective.

Getting back on point, if you listen to Reid, that I gave a small amount of money to Obama during the primaries is his license to lie to the MPO. Yeah, Reid, that's a very Christian position.

At what VBTA breakfast was the EVMS - Norfolk NOB line endorsed? What was the vote tally?

Anonymous said...

"The Roman Catholic Church has never recognized any of the Protestant sects as legitimate."

Strange. The Tidewater Ecumenical Council consisting of Roman Catholic, Episcopal, and Lutheran clergy provide for dispensing the host at intra-church services in the area. This was an acceptance subsequent to Vatican II.

So, Henry. What happens to the souls of non-Catholics who consider themselves Christians when they die?

Avenging Archangel said...

The Church teaches one can go to heavan through either living a good Catholic life (Faith & good works) or having lived a good life with their own cultural context. The latter is obviously a gray area.

Anonymous said...

And what did Jesus say about what is required to live in Heaven?

Getting back to the point - Henry, haven't you stated that those people that don't ascribe to your worldview on Faith (a certain type of Catholicism) are "heretics".

So, if "heretics" live a - how did you put it, oh yeah, a "good life with their own cultural context." - they are going to heaven?

So if their "own cultural context" is Islam and they don't accept Jesus Christ as their savior and as the Son of God & Messiah, - even though they live a "good life" (works)they still get to go to heaven?

Wow! I’ll bet Jesus will be surprised to learn this.

Matthew 10:33

"But whoever denies Me before men, I will also deny him before My Father who is in heaven.

John 14:6

Jesus said to him, "I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but through Me.

Acts 4:12

"And there is salvation in no one else; for there is no other name under heaven that has been given among men by which we must be saved."

1 Timothy 2:5-6

For there is one God, and one mediator also between God and men, the man Christ Jesus, who gave Himself as a ransom for all, the testimony given at the proper time.

1 John 2:22-23

Who is the liar but the one who denies that Jesus is the Christ? This is the antichrist, the one who denies the Father and the Son. Whoever denies the Son does not have the Father; the one who confesses the Son has the Father also.

1 John 5:10-12

The one who believes in the Son of God has the testimony in himself; the one who does not believe God has made Him a liar, because he has not believed in the testimony that God has given concerning His Son. And the testimony is this, that God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. He who has the Son has the life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have the life.

And YOU, Henry, want to declare the 8 Million Christians of the United Methodists Church as "heretics"???

Have you ever actually read what Jesus stated and taught us in the Bible, the Word of God?

Anonymous said...

If anyone says, "I love God," yet hates his brother, he is a liar. For anyone who does not love his brother, whom he has seen, cannot love God, whom he has not seen.

Avenging Archangel said...

First of all, there is only one type of Catholicism: the teachings found in the Magistruum. Anyone who dissents from them is a heretic and therefore cannot truly call themselves Catholic.

Once again, you show a Protestant evangelical's one-dimensional view of tolerance: you demand tolerance of your own beliefs, while showing zero tolerance for anyone else's. In this case, Catholic and Muslim immediately come to mind. :)

If you want to quote Scripture, I'll refer you to:

1. Matthew 16 - Jesus Himself chooses Peter as first Pope, making The Roman Catholic Church the only church with Biblical legitimacy.

2. Matthew 25 - Please read Jesus on The Last Judgement. You VBTAers have a fiery eternity ahead of you.

Getting back on subject:

1. At what VBTA breakfast was the EVMS - Norfolk NOB endorsement vote held?

2. What was the vote tally?

Anonymous said...

Henry, that translation you are using of the Bible is a real stretch and you know it. There was no Pope or Roman Catholic Church when Jesus lived and proclaimed Simon Peter as his "rock".

In scripture (NIV) Matthew 16:18 reads: "And I tell you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of Hades will not overcome it."

The Holy Scipture doesn't read:

"Jesus Himself chooses Peter as first Pope, making The Roman Catholic Church the only church with Biblical legitimacy."

Once again, you reveal to all that you are declaring any Christian faith that isn't Roman Catholic to be a false faith - or to be precise - without Biblical legitimacy.

Wow - well, there you have it folks - right from Henry himself!

And he has stated that the followers of Jesus Christ that assemble to worship with the United Methodists are "heretics".

Here is another translation Henry: "And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it."

As we should all know, when taken from the context of the story the reason Jesus proclaimed this was because he asked his disciples who people said he was. The disciples answered John the Baptist, Elijah, Jeremiah, or one of the prophets. Then Simon Peter replied "Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God."

Jesus was pleased because this knowledge could not have come from 'flesh" but from revelation.

Henry, your translation - Peter is the Pope (number 1) and only the Roman Catholic Church is legitimate is a interpretation, but not a literal translation.

You see Henry, the difference between you and I is that I understand that Jesus came for all of us – to offer all of God’s children salvation. Unlike you, I don’t proclaim Catholics to be “heretics” – I understand that if Catholics are followers of Jesus Christ then they are Christians. I also appreciate the efforts that Jesus went to for including Gentiles into the Body of Christ. Considering that Jesus was a Jewish rabbi, that’s an amazing example for each of us to follow. Jesus preached a message of inclusiveness and salvation for those that repent of their sins, accept Christ as their savior, seek to follow God’s Word and who earnestly seek to serve God’s Will.

Jesus is a uniter, not a divider. Jesus preached love, not condemnation. In fact, Matthew 16 is all about warning his disciples to avoid the pitfalls of being a Pharisees and one of the Sadducees.

Henry, to answer your question: there wasn't any vote by the VBTA membership on supporting the study for Light Rail to connect The Tide with the naval bases. It was a decision of the VBTA board at my recommendation.

When we discussed our positions on Light Rail (The VBTA Board) we struggled with the issue. We decided that the VBTA would decide each Light Rail project on its own merits. We appreciate that until an EIS is prepared a lot of smoke & mirrors "numbers" are often thrown around. But for the most part we find that the EIS process is a good process for developing facts - as best as they can be determined - for use in deciding the cost benefit analysis needed to evaluate any Light Rail proposal.

As I have posted on your blog more than once (sigh) - the VBTA is not opposed to all Light Rail.

We are advocates FOR good government and wise use of our tax funds.

There, I answered your question directly. How about answering MY question?

You stated that you donated $25 to Barack Obama. How much did you donate to John McCain?

Anonymous said...

You have heard that it was said to the people long ago, 'Do not murder, and anyone who murders will be subject to judgment.' But I tell you that anyone who is angry with his brother will be subject to judgment. Again, anyone who says to his brother, 'Raca,'(Contemptual Aramaic term) is answerable to the Sanhedrin. But anyone who says, 'You fool!' will be in danger of the fire of hell.

Avenging Archangel said...

If the VBTA BoD thinks EVMS - Norfolk NOB can be built independently, it's hilarious that Robert Dean's once-excellent political intel sources have dried up. There's a reason Newtown Road - Dome site & EVMS - Norfolk NOB are bundled together at the MPO: they're part of one package.

On the Obama money:

1. Remember that I was a Mike Huckabee backer. Huckabee stayed in until the end even though McCain had largely locked up the nomination on Super Tuesday.

2. By time of the Republican convention, Obama was steaming ahead and I knew it was uphill for McCain:

a. I posted on the voter registration efforts I saw.

b. Another part: I kept hearing people on the buses who had never voted, or hadn't voted in years, saying they were going to vote for Obama. I knew if Obama could connect with those who normally don't vote, McCain was in deep doo-doo.

Being on a limited income (Disability + P/T job), I have to swallow hard to make political donations. In this case, it would have been financially foolish of me to throw money into a lost cause when I had bills that needed to be paid.

Anonymous said...

So then the answer is that when you had to make a choice with your limited finances you made the choice to donate to Barack Obama and not to John McCain.

What a Republican!

I only donated to Bob Barr in the presidential race. Not John McCain, not Barack Obama. You see, I am a members of the Libertarian Party. I support my party’s candidates. You are a GOP precinct captain, are you not? You often state that you are an active member of the Virginia Beach Republican Party, correct? Are you?

Henry, YOU called ME a “hypocrite” on your blog for donating to Bob Barr and not John McCain. Henry, I am the Chairman of the Tidewater Libertarian Party - how am I a “hypocrite for supporting my party’s candidate and not john McCain? By your own words and logic - are YOU not a hypocrite for supporting Barack Obama and not John McCain?

Henry, YOU made this entire topic on your blog attacking MY credibility (by name) - and attacking the VBTA. What does the title of this topic read?

"Reid Greenmun And The VBTA Have No Credibility

I point this out because your unfounded attacks serve to highlight YOUR LACK OF CREDIBILITY.

Can you admit that you were wrong for calling me a hypocrite for donating money to Bob Barr and not John McCain? Can you apologize for going overboard, spreading lies and distortions like the vile song you posted about the VBTA where you implied that members of the VBTA are “gay” (are you homophobic as well?) You wrote:

“With Christmas over, how about a song on everyone's favorite bunch of idiots? Sung to the tune of The Village People's YMCA (fitting for the VBTGay):

What evidence do you have that “everybody’s favorite bunch of idiots (how Christ-like of you to call others “idiots‘) are “gay”?

VBTGay? If you really are a Republican is it any wonder with guys like YOU that they keep losing elections!

Henry, I have a new question for you to answer honesty - remember, YOU decided to make this topic about “credibility” - what credibility do YOU have if you fail to be truthful about what YOU wrote on your blog?

What did YOU mean when YOU wrote this line in YOUR song?

“Doofus, you can do politics
They think, doofus, smarts are for heretics

Who are YOU referring to as “heretics”?

Avenging Archangel said...

I have been neither a Republican City Committee member nor Precinct Captain since March, 2005. Then, since you use LRT numbers from 1999, it's not surprising that you can't get that right either.

I called you a hypocrite for trying to determine who is a Republican while not being one yourself.

Use of thw word "heretic" in the song refered to anyone not parroting the VBTA line.

Finally, you repeatedly try to call yourself a Christian...then want to defend gays ("homophobic")? Obviously you have no concept of true Christianity.

Reid, whether you like it or not, this blog will continue to be a HQ for anti-VBTA news. Try turning every thread you don't like into a rant-a-thon, but I'll continue to denounce the VBTA for the evil that they are.

Anonymous said...

Henry, are you making the case that to be a Christian one must be homophobic?

Why would you call the VBTA "gay"?

What is that based on?

Or, are you simply using "Gay" as a slanderous expression to attack the VBTA - and the Village People?

Didn't Christ teach us not to condemn others, but to reach out to them in Christian love and understanding?

Hate the sin, love the sinner?

Aren't you using this blog as a forum to condemn the VBTA - and even call it "evil"?

Jesus teaches His followers to repent - and to seek forgiveness.

When a person does repent, Christians are taught to be forgiving.

How can I forgive you when you refuse to admit your false witness and repent?

I asked you to apologize for giving false witness (remember those pesky 10 commandments?) here on your blog.

YOU choose not to - instead - you state that you will remain unrepentant and refuse to apologize. Not too Christ-like.

Oh, and Henry, how is it that my pointing out that you supported (gave money) your party's opponent (Barack Obama) but not your own party's candidate (John McCain) -makes me a "hypocrite".

Huh? Because I am a Libertarian I can't point this out about a member of another party? That they donate to their opponents candidate, but not their own?

Don’t YOU enjoy pointing out such things about Democrats - yet you are not a Democrat - are you?

Does this behavior on your part make YOU a "hypocrite", applying your own logic here? If not, why not

I think you need to learn what the insults you throw around actually mean before you use them.

I know you should apologize to me for your slanderous behavior here on your blog.

Avenging Archangel said...

No, Reid, I'm not buying into the VBTA's totalitarian "We're above criticism" game.

As for gays, you obviously forgot the part about Sodom and Gomorrah in The Bible.

Henry, I haven't forgotten any thing. Nice try to dodge the question and change the subject - again.

I was asking YOU about why you would imply that the VBTA is "gay" and why you appear to make the point that in order to be a Christian one must condemn homosexuals.

Henry, what are your views on homosexuals and why did you imply that the VBTA was "gay"?

Henry, either you are confused - or dishonest, which is it?

You write:

No, Reid, I'm not buying into the VBTA's totalitarian "We're above criticism" game.

I have not stated that the VBTA is above criticism, nor am I playing a game.

Please back up your false accusation that I have stated that the VBTA is "above criticism".

False statement = false witness.

Thou shalt not bear false witness.

I have pointed out your lies and distortions that you have posted about the VBTA and myself here on your blog.

I have shown how your are deceitful.

In your mind are lies and distortions the same as "criticism"?

And you want to cast stones at the credibility of others?

I am still waiting for your apology.

1. Why do you imply that the VBTA is "gay"?

2. Why do you imply that Christians must condemn homosexuals?

Henry, either you are confused - or dishonest, which is it?

You wrote:

"No, Reid, I'm not buying into the VBTA's totalitarian "We're above criticism" game."

I have not stated that the VBTA is above criticism, nor am I playing a game.

3. Please back up your false accusation that I have stated that the VBTA is "above criticism".

Your asserting this is another one of your lies.

Shame on you.

It appears to me that you can't help yourself - you just keep telling lies.

And yet you want to cast stones at the credibility of others?

Think I wasn't told about the e-mail you sent this past weekend, wanting to censor criticism of the VBTA from this blog? It's a measure of your arrogance that you expected everyone to buy into it.

If you haven't noticed, no one else is replying to your rants. No one cares about your b.s. except a hadful of VBTA kooks.

Henry, still avoiding answering questions? We all see.

You (Henry) imply the VBTA is "gay" (“VBTGay“, remember? YOU wrote that) - and you refuse to explain what you mean. You offer no proof that the VBTA is gay. You avoid explaining that you used the term “Gay” as a pejorative.

You (Henry) then attack my Christianity because YOU (Henry) have issues with homosexuals and your (Henry’s) understanding of Christ’s message in dealing with those that commit sins. You don’t answer any questions seeking to clarify the viewpoints that YOU (Henry) appear to be homophonic and a radical Roman Catholic Christian bigot.

I point out that the Republican party - and you (Henry) claim to believe in offering a “big tent” as the path forward to winning elections. YOU (Henry) reveal to all that you disparage those that support a Gay agenda and you disparage those that disagree with your views of Christianity. And … continuing with your patterns of bigotry and vile and salacious attacks - you disparage those that disagree with your views regarding Light Rail and mass transit - and who should pay for such services.

YOU (Henry) even go so far as to attempt to claim that scripture (Matthew 16 : 18) states that only the Roman Catholic church is the only biblically legitimate Christian church - which is why YOU (Henry) accuse any Christian that doesn’t belong to the same Roman Catholic church that you decides was the only legitimate Christian church are “heretics” and not Christians at all. Specifically denigrating the 8 Million Christians that belong to the United Methodist Church. Further you claim Holy Scripture states that Simon Peter was declared by Jesus to be the “Pope” and only the Roman Catholic church is legitimate. Setting your blasphemy of Jesus’ own words aside, Henry, you apparently ignored the bible that states in Revelations 22:18-19:

“For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book: If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book: And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the Book of Life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book”.

You spread lies and distortions. You (Henry) have no shame - you even commit blasphemy but intentionally misquoting Holy Scriptures. Yet your arrogance and your pride makes you want to keep attacking others for the same behavior that you use.

Its understandable Henry - and the Christian response is that I will pray for you to have the ability to free yourself of your sins of pride and arrogance. Hopefully the Holy Spirit can help you (Henry) to realize your sin and encourage you to repent and to rejoin the Body of Christ in the spirt of the teachings of Jesus.

Henry, you desperately try to change the subject when you are asked to clarify what you write. It appears that you are desperate to run away from accountability for your own vile words and hope that your readers will not notice.

We notice. You aren’t fooling anyone.

Henry, you accuse ME of being a hypocrite for supporting Bob Barr and not John McCain because I pointed out that YOU donated to Barack Obama but not John McCain, yet you claim to be a Republican. Henry, this goes to your lack of credibility. Your accusation that I am a hypocrite for pointing this out and I am not a Republican (I am a Libertarian) is not only false, it’s nonsensical. Its borderline embarrassing. So you try to change the subject.

Then you try to wiggle out and try to claim - well, Reid - you are a hypocrite because you (Reid) are not a Republican so how can you (Reid) make a case that I (Henry)am not acting like a Republican?

I point out that YOU (Henry) have a long history of attacking Democrats - or the VBTA for that matter - when you are neither a Democrat or a member of the VBTA - when they act in a manner that goes against supporting what their party or organization stands for - or when they support candidates that are running against the candidates that their party selected to run for office.

That makes YOU (Henry) a hypocrite. But I am certain if you pray about this God will help you to repent and avoid such behavior in the future.

Henry, you want to attack the credibility of others but your own words reveal your lack of credibility.

In the process you reveal to all your own prejudices and propensity for bearing false witness.

And - in regard to some email you claim I have written, I haven’t stated that I encouraged the VBTA or anyone else to “censor criticism of the VBTA from this blog”. What I have discussed with the VBTA is the need to stop ignoring your lies and distortions and address your blog because to avoid doing so can be misconstrued to infer that the VBTA is giving tacit approval to the lies you spread here in regard to the VBTA.

Once again, your choice of words distorts the truth. There was no call for censorship. That is yet another lie that you (Henry) are attempting to spread in a desperate hope to change the discussion so you can avoid accountability for your own hate speech that you have spewed her on your blog.

Jesus said only the Roman Catholic Church has any biblical legitimacy?

Henry, you really need to rethink how you act.

Henry, think you can lie and deceive and no one notices?

Sorry. Like so many things you state, you are simply wrong once again.

You owe me and the VBTA an apology.
